UP Govt Reshuffles IAS Officers: Key Appointments in Swachh Bharat Mission, UPPSC and Higher Education
Lucknow, April 09 (TNA) The Government of Uttar Pradesh on Wednesday evening carried out a minor administrative reshuffle, transferring five IAS officers and assigning them new responsibilities across key departments.
Among the prominent appointments, IAS officer Gunjan Dwivedi, who was awaiting posting, has been appointed as Mission Director of the Swachh Bharat Mission (Gramin). The move is expected to strengthen the implementation of rural sanitation initiatives in the state.
Rakesh Singh has been posted as Additional Director at the Uttar Pradesh Academy of Administration and Management in Lucknow, where he will contribute to administrative training and capacity building.
Ashok Kumar, who was serving as Secretary of the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission in Prayagraj, has now been appointed as Special Secretary in the Irrigation, Water Resources and Land Development Department. Additionally, he has been given charge of the Prisons Administration and Reforms Department.
In another key change, Girijesh Kumar Tyagi, previously Special Secretary in the Higher Education Department and Registrar of Dr Ram Manohar Lohiya National Law University, has been appointed as the new Secretary of the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission.
Meanwhile, Anita Verma Singh has been transferred from the Irrigation and Prisons departments to the Higher Education Department as Special Secretary. She will also serve as Registrar of Dr Ram Manohar Lohiya National Law University, Lucknow.
