New Delhi, August 4 (TNA) Hours after Jitendra Singh, prime accused in the burning down of the house of Rita Bahuguna Joshi, was welcomed into the BJP in presence of the state president Swatantra Dev Singh, the Prayagraj MP reacted sharply to the development. In the union capital, Joshi said she was stunned at Babloo being allowed to join the BJP.
She however gave benefit of doubt to the party leadership and said may be they were not aware of the case involving her house being gutted by him, Joshi said she will talk about this to both the state president Swatantra Dev Singh and national BJP chief JP Nadda.
She further said that when she was in Moradabad prison in 2009, her house at Sarojini Naidu Marg in Lucknow, was burnt down by Jitendra Singh, then a Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) legislator.
He played a major role in the incident, it was flawed all over on television and he had later been indicted in a probe too.
I will definitely talk to the party leadership about this and seek termination of his membership from the BJP, the former UP minister said.c
