BSP Leader Accused Of Burning Rita Bahuguna Joshi's House In 2009 Joins BJP, Both Victim-Accused Now In Same Party

Lucknow, August 4 (TNA) Politics is full of ironies, twists and turns. But on Wednesday when the former Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) legislator from Bikapur in Ayodhya, Jitendra Singh aka Babloo was one of the latest entrants to the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), even the most firm supporters in the saffron camp squirmed.

For Jitendra Singh is the prime accused in the setting up on fire the residence of Prayagraj Lok Sabha MP of BJP, Rita Bahuguna Joshi on July 15 in 2009.

Joshi, the victim of that incident that created furore in the political circles, was then the president of the Uttar Pradesh Congress Committee (UPCC) and Jitendra Singh was a member of the then ruling BSP of Mayawati.

Now, both the victim and the accused have crossed over their respective party lines to join the BJP over these years. Joshi was not available for comments.
