Priyanka Gandhi Kicks Off Pratigya Yatra From Barabanki, Interacts With Women, Makes Important Announcements
Barabanki, Oct 23 (TNA) Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on Saturday made more promises to the people of poll-bound Uttar Pradesh. Soon after flagging off the ‘Pratigya Yatra’ of the Congress, she interacted with women in a field and then made some important announcements. The women mobbed her and fed her with sweets, salad and roti along with green saag.
Other than the already declared 40% tickets in the assembly polls to women, smart phones and electric scooties to intermediate pass girls, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra now said that if voted to power all the debts of the farmers will be waived off, the poor will get Rs 25,000 worth of financial assistance and all power bills to be reduced to half.
She also said electricity bills during the Covid time will be written off and government jobs for 20 lakh unemployed youth will be created while also more sops for farmers and cane growers of the state.
When asked by reporters on what was the reason for this stopover in the fields, she said their was no motive but to just try and understand how the women live in villages, their problems and also to know how they bring up their children.
