Of The 16 Army Soldiers Killed In Sikkim Mishap, Four Are From Uttar Pradesh

Lucknow, December 24 (TNA) Of the sixteen soldiers who were killed when an army truck fell into a gorge in Sikkim's Jema on Friday, identification of all the deceased has been cone by army officials and four of them are residents of Uttar Pradesh, an official said.

The names issued by the army include four UP-based jawans. The deceased include Havildar Charan Singh of Lucknow, Naik Lokesh Kumar of Muzaffarnagar, Naik Shyam Singh Yadav of Unnao and Naik Bhupendra Singh of Etah.

Havildar Charan Singh is originally from Lalitpur. The mortal remains of the 3 deceased soldiers are being brought to Lucknow Cantonment while body of a jawan will be taken to Muzaffarnagar, his native place.
