Nine Women Figure In BJP List Of 91 Candidates For UP Elections
Lucknow, January 28 (TNA) The ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) released a list of 91 candidates for the forthcoming state assembly elections. It includes nine women candidates, including Sindhuja Mishra (Kunda), Neelam Karwariya (meja), Aarti Kol (Koraon), Anupma Jaiswal (Bahraich), Saroj Sonkar (Balha), Aarti Tiwari (Goshaiganj), Neelam Sonkar (Lalganj), Manju Saroj (Mehnagar) and Sunita Parikshit Singh Zamania.
Other prominent names in the candidate list include Nirmal verma from Biswan, Mayankeshwar Singh (Tiloi), Ashok Kori (Salon), Rakesh Sachan from Bhognipur, Nagesh Pratap Singh ‘Chote Sarkar’ from Rampur Khas, Ramakesh Nishad from Tindwari, Rajendra Pratap Singh ‘Moti’ from Patti, Guru Prasad Maurya from Fafamau and Praveen Kumar Patel from Phoolpur.
Ministers in the Yogi Adityanath cabinet - Nand Kumar Gupta ‘Nandi’ and Siddharth Nath Singh have been given tickets from Allahabad South and Allahabad West respectively.
