Monsoon Session of The UP Vidhan Sabha Begins Today, Uproar By Opposition Likely

Lucknow, August 7 (TNA) The monsoon session of the Uttar Pradesh state assembly begins on Monday. Ahead of the crucial session, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has called upon the members to discuss the situation of flood and drought in the state. On the other hand, the main opposition party SP has prepared a strategy to bring a resolution condemning the incident in Manipur. Due to this, uproar in the House seems to be a done thing.

About 13 Bills are set to be tabled on the floor of the House after the Question Hour on the first day of the Monsoon Session of the Legislature. New rules of the assembly will also be introduced in this. In the meeting of the Business Advisory Committee held on Sunday, it was decided to conduct the proceedings of the House till Friday.

CM Yogi said that the Assembly has been known for positive discussion and creativity for some time now. Despite all the differences, there is a good discussion in the UP Assembly. He urged the opposition to contribute in carrying forward the rich tradition of debate and discussion in the House. He said that the dignity of the House should increase and the positive impression created towards the state should move forward.

Assembly Speaker Satish Mahana held an all-party meeting for the smooth conduct of the second session of the 18th Legislative Assembly in the year 2023. In this, he appealed to all party leaders for cooperation. He said that democracy gets strengthened through dialogue and positive discussions in the parliamentary system. All party leaders assured the Speaker of cooperation in running the House. Leader of House and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, leaders of various parties including Manoj Pandey from SP participated in the meeting.
