An Evening To Mark The Birth Anniversary Of TV Journalist Kamal Khan In Lucknow On Thursday, Javed Akhtar To Attend

Lucknow, April 26 (TNA) An evening in memory of late acclaimed television journalist Kamal Khan - "Lucknow ke Kamaal, Kamaal Ka Hindustan" is being held at the La Mart’s boys college ground at 7 pm Thursday evening.

The event, other than hundreds of his fans, colleagues, bureaucratsm, acquaintances and people from the media fraternity would be attended by eminent lyricist Javed Akhtar and popular theatre artist Atul Tiwari.

The event is being organised by his friends and family to mark his birth anniversary. Senior journalist Kamal Khan passed away after suffering a massive heart attack on January 14 last year. Khan was with the NDTV and was a stalwart about matters related to Uttar Pradesh. His wife Ruchi Kumar is also a journalist and works for India TV.

He had no cardiac history but suffered a massive heart attack at his Butler Palace official residence at around 9 am on the fateful day and before medical aid could come, he passed away. His crisp and objective reporting earned him thousands of admirers across the country.
