Amid Growing RLD-BJP Bonhomie Route Change Of Congress’s Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra, Rahul To Skip Western UP

Lucknow, February 12 (TNA) Ahead of a potential tie-up between the Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections 2024, the Congress seemingly is reconciled to the fact that a close component of the I.N.D.I alliance has shifted sands.

As a result, the travel route of the ongoing Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra, undertaken by Rahul Gandhi, has been changed. Western UP, the pocket borough of RLD chief Jayant Chaudhary, has been taken down.

Rahul Gandhi's Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra will remain in UP for six days. The Yatra will enter UP via Chandauli on February 16 and will leave UP via Jhansi and move to Madhya Pradesh. A revised program of Rahul's visit has been released in Uttar Pradesh. According to this, now Rahul's visit will be in UP from 16 to 21 February (six days). This has been reduced by four days.

According to this, now Rahul's journey will enter UP from Chandauli on 16th February. There will be night rest here after the trek. The journey will start from Golgada in Varanasi on 17th February. Rahul will visit the Kashi Vishwanath temple and hold a meeting at Godaulia. From here the journey will reach Bhadohi and stay for the night.

However, Congress state president Ajay Rai says that since the dates of Lok Sabha elections are near, the time of Rahul Gandhi's visit has been reduced. There is no reason for RLD to withdraw from the alliance.

The yatra will remain in Prayagraj for the whole day on 18th February. On February 19, it will leave Atheha of Rampur assembly constituency of Pratapgarh and enter Kekwa of Amethi assembly. In Amethi, he will hold a public meeting near Babuganj Toll.

The journey will stop here at night also. On February 20, the Yatra will reach Rae Bareli from Amethi via Maharajpur via Gauriganj, Gandhinagar, Jais and Fursatganj. Rahul's public meeting will be held here near the supermarket. On the same day, the yatra will reach Lucknow via Kundanganj, Bachhrawana.

Further schedule of the yatra will be issued separately. However, according to the information, Rahul will go from Lucknow to Jhansi via Unnao and Kanpur. From Jhansi, the yatra will enter Madhya Pradesh. Earlier, along with other districts, the program to visit Shahjahanpur, Bareilly, Rampur, Moradabad, Sambhal, Amroha, Bulandshahr, Aligarh and Hathras of Western UP was also announced.

He said that Congress is travelling across the country on the strength of its workers. The districts of Western Uttar Pradesh had been covered in the previous visit, which is why this time the focus has been on Purvanchal and Bundelkhand. Rahul's visit will be welcomed with full enthusiasm in Uttar Pradesh.
