Spotting Crack In Rail Track UP Woman Undrapes Her Red Saree To Signal Danger And Saves Lives Of Hundreds

Lucknow, April 1 (TNA) Hundreds of lives were saved by the presence of mind of a village woman in Etah district of Uttar Pradesh on Thursday. While going to the fields, Omwati spotted a big crack in the railway track and immediately took off her red coloured saree and with the help of sticks from a nearby tree put it on the rail track to nsignal the coming trains of a danger.

The incident took place near Guleria village in Avagarh block of Etah district. Soon a passenger train from Etah to Tundla came chugging but the driver spotted the red coloured sari and applied the brakes.

The track was repaired and the trains et off on its onward journey an hour later. Hats off the woman for the sharp presence of mind and saving innocent lives. A UP cop shared this story on the social media saluting the spirit of the village woman.
