Yogi Adityanath Announces ₹4 Lakh Compensation For UP Residents Killed In Vaishno Devi Landslide

Lucknow, August 28 (TNA) Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has announced a financial compensation of ₹4 lakh for the families of UP residents who lost their lives in the recent Vaishno Devi landslides in Jammu and Kashmir’s Reasi district.

The devastating landslide, which struck amid heavy rains, claimed at least 32 lives and injured over 20 people, with 11 deceased confirmed to be from Uttar Pradesh.

Yogi Adityanath expressed deep condolences, directing officials to facilitate the swift disbursement of financial aid and to ensure the mortal remains are respectfully brought back to the victims’ homes in UP.

Several families from Baghpat, Agra, Muzaffarnagar, and other districts are among those affected, with arrangements being made for support and rehabilitation.
