Women Who Believe, Change the World: Nandita Das Highlights Empowerment at BSG Symposium
Mumbai, July 24 (TNA) The spirit of women’s empowerment took centre stage at the “Women Who Believe Are the Women Who Build” symposium, curated by Bharat Soka Gakkai (BSG) at the Bal Gandharva Rang Mandir Auditorium in Bandra, Mumbai. The event drew over 650 participants from academia, corporate leadership, literature, and homemakers, all united in the cause of fostering a more equal and progressive society.
Five pioneering women from diverse backgrounds shared their insights and journeys, underscoring how self-belief allows women to overcome societal and self-imposed limitations, contributing powerfully to community and societal advancement. The distinguished speakers included Nandita Das (Actor, Filmmaker & Social Advocate), Chetna Gala Sinha (Founder & Chairperson, Mann Deshi Bank & Mann Deshi Foundation), Minakshi Achan (Marketing Communications Expert) and Anjana Sharma (Head, Dept. of English, University of Delhi)
The event featured a panel discussion moderated by Tillotama Shome (Actor & Producer), offering a platform for candid dialogue on resilience, courage, and the power of conviction in breaking barriers.
