Road Accident in Maharashtra’s Thane Leaves 9 Dead, 3 Injured
Thane, April 13 (TNA) A horrific road accident occurred in Maharashtra’s Thane district on Monday. Maharashtra Police reported that a van collided with a cement mixer on a bridge in Murbad’s Govili village near Raita Bridge around 11:30 AM, resulting in the deaths of at least nine people on the spot.
Three others sustained injuries and were rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment. Rescue operations are ongoing at the site, with local police, rescue teams, and medical staff working swiftly to recover bodies and assist the injured; traffic jams on the bridge have been cleared. Police have launched an investigation, with speeding suspected as a primary cause.
