Popular Punjabi Film Actor Surinder Sharma Passes Away

New Delhi, June 28 (TNA) The Punjabi film industry plunged into mourning as a veteran actor, comedian and poet Surinder Sharma passed away late on Monday.

He was a popular face in the TV industry too and his films included ‘Sat Shri Akal, ‘Yaari Jatt Di’ and ‘Aankh Jatt Di’, Desi Romeo, Ek Kudi Punjab Di and Aankhein Mutiyar.

He was also a professor at a university. Reason for his death is not known. His last rites were performed late night at the Chandigarh crematorium.
