PM Remembers 'Friend' Arun Jaitley On His First Death Anniversary

Many other senior leaders of the ruling party and ministers including Hardeep Puri also remembered Jaitley on his first death anniversary.

NEW DELHI || Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday wrote an emotional message on the first death anniversary of former minister and dear friend Arun Jaitley. In a tweet, the Prime Minister said, "On this day, last year, we lost Shri Arun Jaitley Ji. I miss my friend a lot."

"Arun Ji diligently served India. His wit, intellect, legal acumen and warm personality were legendary," the prime minister said further. Jaitley, a stalwart in the BJP was union law minister, briefly defence minister and the finance minister. He died last year on August 23, after suffering from cancer.

He had friends cutting across political parties and is remembered as the finest voices in the parliament. Many other senior leaders of the ruling party and ministers including Hardeep Puri also remembered Jaitley on his first death anniversary.

Remembering Arun Jaitley ji, an outstanding politician, prolific orator and a great human being who had no parallels in Indian polity.

BJP National President JP Nadda also paid tribute to the former Union Minister, Padma Vibhushan Arun Jaitley on his first Punyatithi. He also inaugurated a blood donation camp at AIIMS as a mark of respect for Jaitley.
