Multilateral Maritime Exercise Malabar In Bay Of Bengal From Tuesday

New Delhi, Oct 11 (TNA) The Indian Navy will participate in the 2nd phase of Multilateral Maritime Exercise Malabar from Oct 12–15, 2021 along with Japan Maritime Self Defence Force, Royal Australian Navy & United States Navy, a spokesman said on Monday.

The Exercise will be conducted in the Bay of Bengal. The first phase of this exercise was conducted in the Philippines Sea from August 26 to 29. From the Indian Navy side, INS Satpura, INS Ranvijay, P8I Long Range Maritime Patrol aircraft and a submarine will be participating in the exercise.

The US Navy will be represented by the Aircraft carrier ISS Carl Vinson along with two otehr destroyers - USS Stocckdale, USS Lake Champlain. Japanese Navy will be represented by JS Kaga and JS Murasame and the Royal Australian Navy will be represented by HMAS Ballarat and HMAS Sirius.
