Modi Cabinet Clears Rs 1,750 Crore For 186 MW Tato-I Hydro Electric Project In Arunachal Pradesh

New Delhi, November 26 (TNA) At a meeting chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Union Cabinet on Monday approved ₹1,750 crore for the 186 MW Tato-I Hydro Electric Project in Arunachal Pradesh’s Shi Yomi District. To be completed in 50 months, it will generate 802 million units of energy, enhancing the state’s power supply and supporting the national grid.

The project, a joint venture between NEEPCO and the Arunachal government, includes funds for roads, schools, hospitals, and employment opportunities. Arunachal Pradesh will receive 12% free power and 1% for local area development, ensuring socio-economic growth in the region.
