Heavy Pakistani Shelling Leaves Ten Dead On LoC

Srinagar, Nov 14 (TNA) The Uri Sector of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district witnessed intense shelling and firing from Pakistan throughout Friday, resulting in the death of four armed force personnel and six civilians, an army spokesman said. This included one BSF trooper and three army soldiers. Twenty more have been injured as well.

According to the Army, Pakistan initiated unprovoked ceasefire violations along the LoC in multiple sectors, including Dawar in Bandipora, Keran in Kupwara, Uri and Naugam in Baramulla in the Kashmir valley.

“Pakistan used mortars and other weapons. Pakistan deliberately targeted civilian areas. Three Indian army soldiers were also killed and three soldiers were injured,” Srinagar-based Army spokesperson Colonel Rajesh Kalia was quoted by the media as saying.

The Army also released videos that showed its mortars hitting and damaging Pakistani bunkers along the LoC.
