French Rafale Inducted Into Indian Air Force's 'Golden Arrows'

AMBALA || After propitiating the Gods and chanting of religious hymns, the French-made Rafale aircrafts were assimilated in the Indian Air Force (IAF) at Ambala on Thursday.

An official spokesman said the Rafale fighters would be part of IAF's "Golden Arrows" Squadron at the Ambala Air Force Station, the country's oldest Air Force base built in 1919.

The induction was done in presence of Union Defence minister Rajnath Singh, his French counterpart Florence Parly. Thereafter there was an air show in which, along with the Rafale, other fighter jets including the Russian-origin Sukhoi-30MKIs participated in the flypast.
