NEW DELHI || Eminent social activist and leader of the Arya Samaj, Swami Agnivesh passed way in the union capital on Friday evening. He was 80. He had been suffering from a long-standing liver ailment and was being treated at the Institute of Liver and Biliary Sciences in New Delhi, where he breathed his last.
He was on ventilator support since Tuesday after he had a multiple-organ failure. His condition worsened on Friday evening and he also suffered a cardiac arrest. Despite the best efforts of the doctors and he experts, he could not be saved and he passed away at 6:30 pm, a statement said.
