BSNL Records Rs 262 Crore Profit In Third Quarter Of 2024-25, First In 17 Years
New Delhi, February 15 (TNA) BSNL, India's state-owned telecom company, has recorded a profit of ₹262 crore in the third quarter of the fiscal year 2024-25, marking its first profit since 2007. This financial recovery is attributed to strategic initiatives like network expansion, cost control, and the adoption of new technologies, including 4G rollout and fiber-optic infrastructure upgrades.
The turnaround is celebrated as a success of government policies under Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia. BSNL's financial performance showed a 15% growth in mobility services revenue and an 18% increase in Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) revenue.
This milestone is seen as a step towards fulfilling the vision of making the telecom sector a key driver for India's digital future.
