US Court Dismisses $100-Million Lawsuit Against PM Modi, Amit Shah

Washington, December 15 (TNA) A $100-million law suit filed before a US court by a separatist Kashmir-Khalistan outfit against prime minister Narendra Modi and union home minister Amit Shah has been trashed.

This development, media reports said, took place after the petitioners failed to appear before the court on two hearings.

The September 19, 2019 law suit was filed some time before the much-touted "Howdy, Modi!" event in Houston, Texas in which the petitioners had challenged the decision of the Indian Parliament to abrogate the special privileges of the state and carved out two union territories and sought a compensation of $100 million from Modi, Shah.
