Pakistani PM Responds To Modi’s Congratulatory Message, Says Wants Good Relations With India

Islamabad, April 12 (TNA) Newly elected prime minister of Pakistan, Shehbaz Sharif on Tuesday responded to the good wishes extended by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on his assuming the new office and said that both India and Pakistan should ensure peace and focus on the socio-economic development of their people.

He though mention resolution of the Kashmir issue at the core of Indo-Pak relations in his maiden address after being elected PM on Monday, he also expressed the desire that both the countries should focus on common problems like poverty and employment. Modi congratulated Sharif on Twitter for his election and said the region should be terror free.
