Youth From Mainpuri Consumes Poison Outside Chief Minister Residence In Lucknow

Lucknow, Oct 12 (TNA) A young man tried to give up his life by consuming poison outside the high-security residence of UP chief minister Yogi Adityanath at the Kalidas Marg in the state capital on Tuesday.

He has been admitted to a a medical facility in serious condition but his condition is stable. According to preliminary information the youth has been identified as Vimlesh Kumar from Mainpuri.

He told police officials that he was forced to take this extreme step as he was being harrassed by a local Samajwadi Party (SP) leader Aadaab, and despite repeated complainst to the local police and district officials, no action had been taken.

He also said that he wanted to meet the chief minister and petition him with his problems but was not allowed to, forcing him to take this step.
