Young Man, Girl Shot Dead Over Love Affair In UP's Shahjahanpur

Shahjahanpur, Sep 17 (TNA) A case of alleged honour killing has been reported from Shahjahanpur district of Uttar Pradesh where a man and his lover were shot dead, apparently by family of one of them. The incident happened in Naugama Narottam village of Gadhiya Rangiya police station area.

The body of the young man was found in the field, about 150 meters away from the girl's house while the girl's body was found in her house. The duo have been identified as Ashish Singh (25) and Bunty (22).

Ashish's father Sukhpal has accused the girl's family of murder. Ashish was married and working in Punjab. Ashish had become the father of a daughter two weeks ago, due to which he had come home on leave. The marriage of the girl was fixed in Navratri. The girl's family members have fled after the incident.
