Yogi Adityanath Names Navneet Sehgal As The ACS Information

LUCKNOW || The Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath on Thursday initiated a major rejig in the bureaucracy and named Navneet Sehgal, the additional chief secretary Navneet Sehgal as the new boss of the Information and Public Relations department, tasked with the image handling of the state government.

The charge was held by Avaneesh Awasthi, the blue-eyed official of the present dispensation but he apparently fell from grace of the saffron-robed chief minister after a bad press over many incidents over the past few weeks.

Sehgal, a 1988-batch IAS officer is known to be an official who delivers and was behind the Agra-Lucknow Expressway. He was hand-picked by Mayawati and Akhilesh Yadav as well for important posts and Sehgal delivered at every point.
