Sainik School To Be Built At All Divisional Head Quarters In UP: Yogi Adityanath

Yogi Adityanath lays foundation stone of Sainik School in Gorakhpur

Gorakhpur, July 23 (TNA) Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Friday said that the central government has proposed to open 100 new military schools in the country in the budget and informed that the state government is working on a plan to open Sainik School in every commissionerate.

Sainik School to be built in Gorakhpur is an attempt to impart the best education to the students of Eastern Uttar Pradesh along with military training.

The Chief Minister announced that the government will also open a big skill development center in the compost factory complex of Gorakhpur. To get training here, one can get employment on better terms anywhere in the country and in the world.

CM Yogi along with Deputy Chief Minister Dinesh Sharma on Friday laid the foundation stone of Sainik School at Gorakhpur Fertilizer Factory premises. After laying the foundation stone of the school by worshiping the land amidst vedic chanting, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that Sainik School is a great achievement.

Students studying here will have the opportunity to advance in many areas of the country, to serve in higher positions, he added.

The Sainik School here will have state-of-the-art facilities. The Chief Minister said that military schools have their own history. The first Sainik School in the state was established in 1960 by the then Chief Minister Dr Sampurnanand.

Martyr Captain Manoj Pandey, a Param Vir Chakra winner who played an important role in the Kargil conquest, had also received teaching training from this Sainik School. When the BJP government came to UP in 2017, the government renamed the Lucknow Sainik School after the martyred Captain Manoj Pandey.
