Yogi Adityanath Cracks Whip on Graft, Two IPS Involved In Scam Suspended

LUCKNOW || The Uttar Pradesh government on Monday suspended two Indian Police Service (IPS) officials for their established role in a scam, an official said. The action was taken after a go ahead from chief minister Yogi Adityanath, who from time and again, shown zero tolerance towards graft.

The two cops who have been suspended are Arvind Sen and Dinesh Chandra Dubey. They have named in the animal husbandry scam. While Dubey was currently the DIG Rules and Manuals, Arvind Sen, was DIG Provincial Armed Constabulary (PAC) and posted in Agra.

Lucknow-based activist Nutan Thakur had on July 28 this year, sought action against two IPS officers whose name has come in the flour supply scam of Animal Husbandry department. In her letter to CM Yogi Adityanath, Nutan said that the STF enquiry had found DIG PAC sector Arvind Sen and DIG Rules and Manual DC Dubey guilty of various serious charges.

STF had recommended action against them on the basis of facts and evidence found by it. Then SP CBCID Arvind Sen was found guilty of threatening the contractor and was hence found directly guilty in the matter while DC Dubey was found guilty of complicity with the accused in other matters.

Nutan had said it was now around 1.5 months that the STF sent its recommendation, and the Government had claimed immediate action in this case but nothing has been done so far, which shows that some powerful people are trying to save them. Hence she has sought immediate action against the two.
