Yogi Adityanath Asks Officials To Ensure Proper Care Of Cows At Shelters

LUCKNOW || Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Friday instructed Principal Secretary Animal Husbandry to ensure that Chief Veterinary Officers conduct regular inspections of all the cow shelters in both, the government and private sectors .

He also called for necessary arrangements at these cow shelters across the state. He has instructed the district magistrates to do intensive monitoring of this work in their districts. The Chief Minister gave these instructions at a high-level meeting convened at his government residence in the state capital on Friday.

He said that all necessary arrangements should be made for protection from the winter of protected bovine in the cow shelters. "It should also be ensured that there is sufficient availability of green fodder and that regular health tests of protected bovine in cow-shelters" he added.

The Chief Minister said that his government has ensured that while the cows get protected once abandoned, the farmers, whose crops are the risk of damage, are also protected.
