Work On Ram Temple In Ayodhya Progressing At A Fast Pace

Ayodhya, April 3 (TNA) Work on the under-construction Shri Ram temple in Ayodhya is progressing at a fast pace, an office bearer of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust informed. So far the circumambulation path of the sanctum sanctorum of the temple has been made. From the entrance to the temple, the work of making arches is going on at many places.

The work of moulding the roof of Ramlala's house will start in May. Work of the ground floor (sanctum sanctorum) of the Ram temple is now reaching its final stage. Right now the work of making arches on the stones is going on. From next month, the work of moulding the roof of Ramlala's house will start.

Two circumambulation paths are being made in the Ram temple, out of which the circumambulation path of the sanctum sanctorum has been made. Only priests will be able to enter the sanctum sanctorum. This parikrama path starts from Kirtan Mandap till Bhajan Mandap.

Singhdwar of the temple will be the first entrance. The 32 stairs of the entrance are also almost ready. The home pavilion of the temple is also ready. The door of the Grihamandap is made of Makrana marble. The work of applying marble on the upper walls is in progress.

The kapat (door) of the sanctum sanctorum of the Ram temple will be made of teak wood from Maharashtra. The shaping of teak wood is going on in Maharashtra and soon the first consignment will reach Ayodhya from Chandrapur.

The door of the sanctum sanctorum will be 9 feet high and 12 feet wide. The doors will be covered with gold. Devotees will not be able to go to the original sanctum sanctorum, only priests, President, Prime Minister and Chief Minister will be allowed to go.
