With Coronavirus Cases On The Rise, Weekend Curfew In UP Now Extended Till Thursday

Lucknow, May 3 (TNA) With the Coronavirus cases continuing to spike, the Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath on Monday ordered the extension of he ongoing weekend curfew till 7 am on Thursday, May 6.

Informing this, an official said that this has been necessitated keeping in mind the well being of the people and the "still-growing numbers of coronavirus.

The state government earlier had imposted a weekend lockdown covering Saturday and Sunday. Only this week, this had been extended to Tuesday morning.

All the orders and rules that were in place in the weekend curfew will continue in the extended period, an official informed. Essential services and vaccination drive will continue uninterrupted.
