With A Score Of 178.12 score, Unnao Is Top UP District In Ease Of Doing Business Ranking

With a 185.74 score, Kaushambi retained its position in Category-B for Aug’20 month’s District level ease of doing business ranking.

LUCKNOW || With a total score of 178.12, Unnao has retained the top rank in category-A of districts (receiving over 2000 applications) through single window portal, Nivesh Mitra, while with 185.74 score, ‘Kaushambi’ retained its position in the category-B of districts (receiving less than 2,000 applications) for the month of August 2020 District level ease of doing business ranking, an official informed on Tuesday.

As a pioneer state, starting from May 2020, Uttar Pradesh government has started conducting monthly district level ease of doing business ranking for all 75 districts. Unnao and Kaushambi have been the leading districts in category A and B respectively continuously since then.

Due to Monthly District level Ease of Doing Business ranking, User satisfaction rate increased upto 73% while grievances disposal rate increased from 72% to 75% in Aug’20 month.

On monthly basis, the districts are being assessed on key Ease of doing business parameters such as ‘monthly disposal of licenses/NOC, grievances resolution and user satisfaction feedback.

In the preceding month of August, total 64 districts out of 75 districts have improved their district level ease of doing business score. While more than 15 districts such as Kanpur Nagar, Gorakhpur, Varanasi, Meerut, Lalitpur, and Sitapur etc. have improved their ranks by more than four places.

Due to district level ease of doing business ranking, Uttar Pradesh has witnessed User satisfaction rate increasing up to 73%, while grievances disposal rate increased from 72% in July 2020 to 75% in August 2020.

On the launch of previous month’s district level ease of doing business ranking, Additional Chief Secretary, Infrastructure & Industrial Development Alok Kumar said, “Increasing monthly user satisfaction feedback and higher grievances disposal are the clear indicators of ground level changes in the state. I am sure that monthly district level ease of doing business ranking exercise shall be a game-changer in next year’s Business Reform Action Plan (BRAP) ranking for Uttar Pradesh”.
