Vande Metro train To Run From Prayagraj To Varanasi, Pratapgarh

Prayagraj, February 4 (TNA) The Vande Metro train will run for nearby cities - to Varanasi, Kanpur to Lucknow and so on for other short distance cities in the circle. Apart from this, the scope of One Station and One Product will also be increased, DRM Mohit Chandra informed.

After the Vande Bharat Express, the first indigenous train built in the country, the railway administration has made preparations to run the Vande Metro train on the same lines.

This train will also operate in Prayagraj. It will be run from here between medium class cities like Varanasi, Pratapgarh, Mirzapur etc. Vande Metro train can be run in the financial year 2023-24, he added.

Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav, who spoke to reporters on Friday through video conference, has assured that Vande Metro trains will also start running on the tracks from the next financial year. It is being told that intercity trains will be changed through this.

Like inter-city trains, it will also have eight to ten coaches. Vande Metro will take less time to reach its destination station due to running at a speed of 120 to 130. Like the metro, the doors will be automatic in this. There will also be an LED screen in each coach.

All the goods used during the journey will be easily available to the passengers at Kanpur, Aligarh, Khurja, Fatehpur, Prayagraj Chheoki, Mirzapur, Etawah, Tundla, Vindhyachal, Firozabad etc. railway stations of the division including Prayagraj.

For this, public convenience centers will be opened at stations. At present, this facility will be given to passengers at two thousand stations across the country.
