UP Steps Up Vigil For Avian Flu After Death Of Crows In Sonbhadra And Birds In Kanpur Zoo

Lucknow, January 8 (TNA) After the bird flu became a real threat in neighbouring states of Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh, the UP government has stepped up vigil. This has also been done specially after

Nine crows were found dead in Sonbhadra district of the state. Soon after, the death of 4 birds in the Kanpur Zoo has left the government in a tizzy.

District Chief Veterinary Officer Dr AK Srivastava has been quote as saying that a sample of crows will be sent to the center of Bhopal for investigation.

The scope of bird flu is increasing continuously in Madhya Pradesh. On Thursday, bird flu was confirmed in samples related to chicken in Indore and Neemuch in Madhya Pradesh. These samples were taken from chicken shops.
