UP Kinnar Kalyan Board Constituted, Sonam Chisti Appointed VP

Lucknow, Nov 18 (TNA) The Uttar Pradesh government has appointed Sonam Chishti of Lucknow as the vice-president in the Kinnar Kalyan Board constituted on the orders of the Supreme Court.

Sonam had left the Samajwadi Party and joined the BJP a few months back. Apart from these, four eunuch members have also been nominated. Among them, Kaushalya Nand Giri alias Tina Maa of Prayagraj, Kiran Baba of Gorakhpur, Madhu alias Kajal of Jaunpur and Mohd of Kasganj. Arif Pooja Kinnar.

On August 9 this year, the state government had constituted a 23-member eunuch welfare board under the chairmanship of the Social Welfare Minister for the welfare of transgenders. In this, the vice-president and five members were to be kept as eunuchs.
