UP Govt Transfers 16 IPS Officers: Names Prayagraj, Agra And Ghaziabad Police Commissioners

Lucknow, Nov 29 (TNA) The Uttar Pradesh government transferred 16 Indian Police Service (IPS) officials late on Monday, putting an end to the much anticipated speculation of naming of new police commissioners of Ghaziabad, Agra and Prayagraj. While senior IPS officer and IG Lucknow Laxmi Singh has been named as the Police Commissioner of Noida, Ajay Mishra has been given the charge of Ghaziabad while Pritinder Singh has been named the police chief of Agra.

Ramit Sharma has been made the new police commissioner of Prayagraj and Ashok Mutha Jain replaces A Satish Ganesh as the new police commissioner of Varanasi. SSP Ghaziabad Muniraj ji has been sent to Ayodhya in the same capacity while Ayodhya SSP Prashant Verma has been sent to Bahraich as SP.

SSP Prayagraj Shailesh Pandey has been sent to Mathura as its new district police chief SSP Mathura Abhishek Yadav, has been sent to SP Intelligence, Lucknow Headquarters. IG Prayagraj Rakesh Singh has been shifted to Bareilly as IG while Tarun Gaba, secretary Home has become the new IG Lucknow.
