Lucknow, February 17 (TNA) Amid the ongoing farmers' movement in the country, the UP government has banned strikes for six months. A notification has been issued in this regard by Additional Chief Secretary Personnel Devesh Chaturvedi.

According to the notification, it is necessary to do so in the public interest. This rule will also apply to government departments, all corporations and authorities under the state government.

While issuing the order, the government said strict action will be taken against those who violate the rules. Under this, the police can arrest the strikers without issuing any warrant.
