Two Top IAS In UP Retiring Today, Renuka Kumar Going On Central Deputation

Lucknow, June 30 (TNA) Additional Chief Secretary Revenue and Basic Education Renuka Kumar will be relieved from state service for central deputation on Thursday, an official said today. She is to assume charge as secretary minority welfare at the centre.

Apart from this, Rajeev Kumar, a 1983 batch IAS officer who has been suspended for a long time, and Additional Chief Secretary of Planning and Program Implementation Department and 1986 batch IAS officer Kumar Kamlesh are also retired on Wednesday. The government will have to now deploy new officers in these departments.

It is interesting to note here that the post of the chairman of the revenue board is also vacant for the last two months after the death of Deepak Trivedi, who succumbed to Covid. It is for the first time in bureaucratic history of the state that such an important post is lying vacant for the two months.
