SP Legislator Irfan Solanki, 24 Others Booked In Kanpur For Flouting MCC

Kanpur, January 18 (TNA) Samajwadi Party (SP) legislator from Kanpur, Irfan Solanki and two dozen others have been booked by the police for violating the model code of conduct (MCC). Anwarganj Police registered a case based on the video of SP MLA Irfan Solanki and his supporters that had gone viral on social media.

Many sections of the Pandemic Act have been invoked against the MLA. ACP Anwarganj Mohammad Akmal Khan said that when the video was examined, it came to light that on Friday evening, the leaders of the Pragatisheel Samajwadi Party had reached MLA Irfan Solanki's Rizvi Road residence to meet him during which a large crowd was present.
