SP Gets Into Battle Mode For Assembly Polls 2022, Invites Applications For MLA Candidature

LUCKNOW || With just over a year left for the crucial state assembly elections in the state, the Samajwadi Party (SP) on Sunday announced that it had started preparations for the forthcoming polls and was in battle mode from now on.

In a statement related by chief spokesman of the principle opposition party in the state, Rajendra Chowdhary, the SP chief Akhilesh Yadav has invited applications for wannabe candidates of the party.

The applications have been invited from all who are willing to contest the state assembly elections on the Samajwadi Party (SP) ticket and they would be taken from Monday - October 19, 2020 to January 26, 2021, the statement further said. All applications will have to be submitted at the party's state headquarters- 19 Vikramaditya Marg, Lucknow.

The applications of the candidates will not be taken from the areas where the assembly by-elections are taking place and from the constituency of the current legislators, the party clarified.

At the moment, the Samajwadi Party's emphasis is on strengthening the organization up to the block and booth level. The National President of the Party, Akhilesh Yadav has already directed the activists and leaders to have intensive public relations, the spokesman further added.
