Security, Vigil Stepped Up In Uttar Pradesh As Election Schedule Announced

Lucknow, January 9 (TNA) The Election machinery in the state has got cracking as the model code of conduct is in place across Uttar Pradesh. According to the ADG (law & order) Prashant Kumar, physical verification of all the polling stations has been completed.

Also, he informed, 31 checkpoints have been made on the state borders to check illicit liquor. Out of 11,33,894 licensed arms, 9,04,921 have been verified and 3,68,490 weapons have been deposited, 869 criminals lodged in jails are being tracked and tracked, 2,676 CCTV cameras and 271 static jammers have been installed in jails.

95 assembly constituencies have been identified as sensitive, 33 assembly seats in 17 districts have been identified as very sensitive, in 174351 polling stations, 29138 have been identified as critical polling stations, 150 company paramilitary forces have been received.

456 polling stations in Pilibhit, Lakhimpur Kheri, Maharajganj, Siddharthnagar, Bahraich, Balrampur, Shravasti, Lalitpur, Meerut, Chandauli and Sonbhadra affected by communication shadows. Satellite phones and radio sets will be used for communication at these polling stations.
