Samajwadi Party Chief Akhilesh Yadav Tests Positive For COVID

Lucknow, April 14 (TNA) Samajwadi Party Chief and former UP chief minister Akhilesh Yadav on Wednesday tested positive for Corona. He shared this information on Twitter.

He had only a few days back gone to Haridwar and had met a Mahant Mahendra Giri who was confirmed COVID positive patient. Yadav has since gone into isolation and is undergoing treatment at home.

People had slammed Yadav for breaching the COVID protocol and had questions this public outings at a time when the COVID cases across Uttar Pradesh and neighbouring hill state of Uttarakhand.

In a related development, urban development minister of UP Ashutosh Tandon aka Gopal ji also tested positive for Coronavirus. Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal, reacting of Akhilesh Yadav's Tweet, has wished him speedy recovery.
