Priyanka Gandhi To Kick Off Congress Campaign For 2022 Polls From Varanasi On October 2

Varanasi, Sep 20 (TNA) Congress general secretary, in-charge of Uttar Pradesh, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra will be kicking off the party's election campaign for the UP State Assemby Polls 2022 from October 2, with a

rally in Varanasi, the parliamentary constituency of prime minister Narendra Modi.

Other than addressing the public rally, she will also be confabulating with party leaders of the state in Varanasi over the prepardness of the party for the cruiaal polls. Priyanka has been working overtime to revive the party in the Hindi heartland, where it had an uninterrupted rule for almost five decades.

Sources in the UPCC told TNA that Priyanka Gandhi would be propitiating the Gods by offering prayers and performing Rudrabhishek at the famous Kashi Vishwanath temple in Varanasi. Local leladers are working out the modalities of the event and trying to zero in on the rally venue, after which permission would be sought from the district administration.

She is also likely to reach out to the common man and interact with people, specially, the locals, shopkeepers, students, boatsmen and weavers during her stay at the the holy city.
