Presentation Of Rs 612.27 Crore Beautification Project Of Gorakhpur Railway Station Made Before Yogi Adityanath

Lucknow, March 31 (TNA) Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Thursday saw the presentation of beautification proposal of Gorakhpur Junction Railway Station costing Rs 612.27 crore in Gorakhpur. Later, he told officials that Gorakhpur Junction should become the identity of Gorakhpur.

A large population of eastern Uttar Pradesh travels from Gorakhpur railway station, he added while pointing out how people from Deoria, Basti, Santakbir Nagar, Maharajganj, Nepal and East Bihar also travel from Gorakhpur railway station along with Gorakhpur.

The Chief Minister said that prepaid taxis should be arranged at Gorakhpur railway station on the lines of the airport. Along with this, while registering e-rickshaws, arrangements for their parking should also be made. Systematic rehabilitation arrangements should be made for the street vendors and places should be identified and made available to them.

Referring to the construction of 4 lane Jangal Kauria-Mohaddipur, he said that Gorakhnath Temple Trust should help in the development work by demolishing large number of shops of Gorakhnath temple.

In the meeting, the Chief Minister was informed about the proposal for beautification of Gorakhpur railway station that on the lines of airport, multi-level parking along with air concourse, food plaza, shopping mall, hotel, the hospital along with commuting facilities will be provided at the railway station. There will be separate arrangements for the movement of passengers. Apart from this, there is also a proposal to connect the railway station with the bus stand and the upcoming metro station.
