OPD Services In Government, Private Hospitals Across Uttar Pradesh Resume From Today

LUCKNOW || OPD services across the state of Uttar Pradesh will resume from today, an official said on Thursday. This follows guidelines an instructions from the state government, he further informed. "Permission has been given to start OPD, diagnostic and other services in all government and private hospitals of Uttar Pradesh," the high-ranking official said.

This order, issued on behalf of Dr DS Negi, Director General of Medicine and Health, has to be implemented immediately. However, the Director General of Medical Education has not yet issued such an order for medical universities and medical colleges.

A holding area will be created in all the hospitals where suspected patients can be separated and their COVID-19 can be examined and given necessary treatment.

In the order issued by DG Health, instructions have been given to take some precautions in view of the unlocked guideline of the Central Government. Wearing masks will be compulsory for patients, terminals and all medical workers visiting hospitals, CHCs, PHCs and private clinics. Social distancing will have to be followed.

Sanitiser will have to be used. Special care must be taken to clean the hospital. The hospital has to be sanitised twice a day. The number of attendants accompanying the patients will also have to be limited.
