On Diwali, Akhilesh Holds Out Olive Branch To Estranged Uncle Shivpal Yadav

Etawah, Nov 14 (TNA) Former Uttar Pradesh chief minister Akhilesh Yadav seemed to have wisened up politically. Or so it seemed on Diwali day on Saturday as he made an attempt to bury the hatchet with his estranged uncle Shivpal Singh Yadav and said he will make him a cabinet minister if voted back to power.

Interacting with the media in his home town, the Samajwadi Party (SP) chief also dropped enough hints that his party could go into an electoral alliance with the Pragatisheel Samajwadi Party (SP) of Shivpal in the 2022 state assembly polls in UP. He also seemed to have taken the outcome of the Bihar state assembly polls.

He hence ruled out any electoral truck with any mainstream political party and said he will rather prefer understandings and alliances with local and regional parties.
