NIA Files Chargesheet Against Five Al-Qaeda Terrorists Caught In Lucknow

Lucknow, January 7 (TNA) The National Investigative Agency (NIA) has filed a chargesheet against five Al- Qaeda terrorists caught in Lucknow, who had hatched a dangerous conspiracy to conduct terror strikes in Uttar Pradesh.

Musiruddin, Minhaj Ahmed, Shakeel, Mustakim, Mohd Moid were planning IED blasts in Uttar Pradesh. Minhaj was in contact with two terrorists linked to al-Qaeda from Jammu and Kashmir online and was influenced by their radical ideology.

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has filed a charge sheet after the UP STF filed a report in Lucknow on July 11 last year. On July 29, the NIA filed a report again in this case. Musiruddin and Minhaj started procuring weapons, collecting gunpowder and explosives for the blasts.

According to the NIA, their intention was to wage war against the Indian government. The other accused Shakeel, Mohd Mustakim and Mohd Moeed helped both the main accused in procuring arms and ammunition.
