Miscreant Pours Glue In EVM Button Against SP Symbol, Voting Held Up For 90 Minutes

Lucknow, February 23 (TNA) A bizarre incident has come to light from Lakhimpur Kheri district of UP where voting is taking place on Wednesday. According to reports, some miscreant poured a fixing material on the Samajwwadi Party (SP) symbol button in the electronic voting machine (EVM). Because of this voting was held up at the booth for more than 9o minutes.

The incident happened at the Qadipur Sani polling booth on the Lakhimpur Kheri sadar assembly seat. The matter was brought to the notice of the SP candidate Utkarsha Verma, who then lodged a complaint with the election commission office. He was told by many of his supporters that the SP button was not getting pressed as it had some glue.
