Mayawati Has ‘Fake’ Concern For OBCs: Swami Prasad Maurya
Lucknow, Sep 24 (TNA) Former Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) leader and now a senior minister in the UP government, Swami Prasad Maurya on Friday mocked at his former boss Mayawati saying "after expelling so many OBC leaders from the party, she is now showing 'fake concern' towards them."
Reacting to a series of Tweets by the BSP supremo in which she had questioned the “fake love” of the BJP for OBC’s citing the refusal of the Modi government to conduct a caste-based census, Maurya said that it was intriguing that the BSP leader said and that she had the audacity to ask questions about OBCs while she did nothing for this section while in power.
"It only shows double character of Mayawati who is eying votes of the OBCs who were always treated badly by her," added the Minister. Maurya also said that Mayawati, when in power, cared about Mafias like Mukhtar Ansari. "Ironically, she used to call Ansari as 'Robinhood'. She patronised him at the cost of the welfare of SCs and OBCs which is still fresh in the memory of the people of Uttar Pradesh," he pointed out.
Taking a jibe at the BSP chief, he said " Mayawati has exposed herself in the eyes of SCs and OBCs. On one hand her party is organising Brahamin Sammelan while the other hand showing 'artificial' sympathy towards them." Adding, he said " her political designs have already thrown her out of power and BSP stands no chance of revival."
