LDA Bulldozers Bring Down Illegal Buildings Of Mafia-Turned-Legislator Mukhtar Ansari

LUCKNOW || Illegal buildings of BSP legislator and magic don Mukhtar Ansari were razed to the ground by the Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) in the state capital on Thursday. The state government has already done a similar exercise with his properties in Mau, Ghazipur and Varanasi.

LDA officials, with more than 250 policemen and several bulldozers reached the illegal buildings in the Dalibagh area and brought them down. The orders of their demolition had been given on August 11.

Officials told The News Agency that the cost of the demolition would have to be borne by the building owner, who in this case in Muktar Ansari.

Officials responsible for these buildings to have come up in first place will also be taken to task and cases filed on them, officials said further. Mukhar Ansari, is incumbent legislator from Mau Sadar and has been feared for decades in the entire Poorvanchal (east UP) region of the state.

LDA sources say there are 19 illegal buildings in all which are on its radar. Of these 12 are in Ram Teerth ward and the remaining in Raja Ram Mohan Roy ward.
